Apple 13-Inch MacBook Pro
At the WWDC in June 2009, Apple retired the 13" MacBook Unibody and re-released it as the 13-Inch MacBook Pro. There aren't too many changes worth noting, but the new 13" MacBook Pro did get a speed upgrade, a new SD card slot and a price reduction.
At 4.5 pounds, the 13-inch MacBook Pro "Unibody" tips the scales at the very edge of the Ultraportable class. But its sturdy, beautiful design, OS versatility and Multi-Touch trackpad make it a must-include system on our list.
Called "Unibody" because most of its shell is cut from a single block of aluminum, the smallest MacBook Pro is rock solid and wear resistant. Because the Mac OS now runs on Intel processors, the MacBook is compatible with not only Apple's operating system (included), but Windows and Linux as well.
