Apple MacBook Air (Mid 2009 Revision)
Promoted as "the world's thinnest notebook," the MacBook Air may be the most head-turning laptop on the market today. The system is remarkably thin, about 0.75 inches, and geek-sexy to boot.
Though it features some aspects of a Netbook, the MacBook Air is an Ultraportable-class system with an Intel Core2 Duo processor, a 13.3" LED-backlit display, and the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor. Like a Netbook, the Air has no onboard CD/DVD drive, nor does it have an ExpressCard slot. |

Downsides include only one USB port, no FireWire, an internal battery (Agghh!), and non-upgradable RAM. But if you want to be able to carry your laptop in a manila envelope, you're gonna have to pay for the privilege.
The MacBook Air was updated in June 2009. The new models numbers are MC233LL/A and MC234LL/A. |
